Electronic Testing Equipment - Needed to test electric signals

Electronic Testing Equipment refers to that equipment with the help of which wide range of signal and capture responses from electronic devices can be captured for fault detection. The fault of an electronic device can only be traced with the help of device under test that is the devices which is being put under test. Automatic Test Equipment often includes instruments of simulated forms. In general in order to test advanced machinery one need to get troubleshooting of an existing production unit.

  • Platform on which Electronic Testing Equipment works:
Wide range of modular electronic instrumentation platform is used in order to test an electronic instrument which suffers fault. This type of instrument is used to get an incoming inspection, quality assurance, along with production testing of electronic devices. Among the common platform which is being used stands the General Purpose Interface Bus which is also known as GPIB. This device often have digital eight bit parallel communication interface which is capable of achieving high speed data transfer that is up to 8 megabytes. These devices can connect up to 14 instruments at once. Other more superior devices can have 24 pin connectors and it often has the most common input by output interfaces present in it. GPIB instrument was developed HP. Thus devices running on digital platform created a revolutionize effect on the sphere of these testing equipments. In recent time IEE standard digital interface are most commonly used. This instrument has more than 500 specifications including that of stand command for programmable instrumentation which defines specific commands.
  • Types of Electronic Testing Equipment:
Electronic Testing Equipment often divided into basic equipment
and that of advanced equipment. The basic equipment includes those of voltmeter which is often used to measure voltage of any equipment, then comes the Ohm meter which measures resistance, and last but not the least is the Ammeter which measures the flow of current passing through the testing equipment. On the other hand among advanced equipment includes that of solenoid meter, clamp meter, Wheatstone bridge and that of electrometer which are often used to check the faulty electronic devices. In addition to this one also includes wide range of analyzers among which logic analyzers which is used to test digital circuits, spectrum analyzers which measures spectral energy of signal and last but not the least protocol analyzer are also included in this field which tests the functionality and performance of a protocol.
In conclusion all that can be said about Electronic Testing Equipment that without help of this device no faulty electronic instrument could be checked.
