Fiberglass Products have huge demand in the market because fiberglass is a versatile material with light weight, surface finish with weather resistant property and high tensile strength. 

These products are used for house building purposes, storage tanks, pipes, roofing sheets, surfboards, minesweeper hulls, kit cars, gliders, sports car, kayaks, high end bicycles, vessel, tanks, etc.
Features of fiberglass products

The fiberglass products possess some unique features like the structure of these products are strong and stiff in compression and tension along its axis. Fiber glass is narrow and long so it buckles easily and also weakens in shear. So when these products are prepared, multiple layers are laid one on top of the other in various preferred directions. In this method the overall materials’ strength and stiffness is controlled in an effective and efficient way. When more layers are laid in preferred directions the buckling of the material in compression can also be prevented.  Sometimes a thin shell construction in fiberglass components are used and structural foam is used to fill the inner portion like in surfboards. The fiberglass components are closely of arbitrary shape with tolerances and complexities of the mold used for the fabrication of the shell.

Surfboards- an elongated platform is a surfboard used for surfing. Surfboards are strong but relatively light. The surfboards offer enough support to stand.while traversing a breaking wave. These are buoyant and the buoyancy is enhanced by the front tip or nose of the board. The nose can be rounded or pointed.

Glider - a sailplane is a glider which is used for gliding which is a type of glider aircraft. The glider consists of undercarriage or rigid wings. The gliders are used for soaring and gliding and consist of engines which are utilized for extending a flight like taking off. The foot launched aircraft includes para gliders and hang gliders. Gliders do not soar which are used for military purposes. Sport gliders consist of thin and long wings and a faired narrow cockpit.

Storage tanks- storage tanks are made of filament wound or woven mat fiber and at right angles the fiber orientation is to the hoop stress which on the side wall is imposed by the contents of the tanks. These tanks are best for storing chemicals because the polypropylene or the plastic liner used in the inner walls is resistant to strong chemicals.
Pipes- fiberglass pipes have huge demand with a gamut of applications like in gas systems, sewage systems, waste water systems, drinking and cooling water systems, firewater systems etc.
